Spotlight On West Bromwich Albion #5

West Bromwich Albion have reacted perfectly to the disappointment in their dramatic last minute defeats to Manchester City and Newcastle United by winning three matches in a row in the Premier League. Their run of victories began with a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Southampton, continued with the 2-1 win away to Wigan Athletic, and concluded on Saturday afternoon with Odemwingie netting the winner in a fantastic 2-1 victory over Chelsea. It's a run of great form that sees West Bromwich Albion occupy fourth position in the Premier League table and has Baggies fans dreaming of European football.

Steve Clarke fully deserves the praise he has received, and he will be favourite to pick up the Manager of the Month award for November if he can navigate his side through two tough away matches without defeat. Sunderland at the Stadium of Light is next up, in Saturday's lunchtime kick off, with the Black Cats struggling in the league of late but showing signs of improvement in their 3-1 victory at Fulham on Sunday, and then it's to the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday evening to face a Swansea City side that took all six points from the Baggies last season. West Bromwich Albion then go into December with a home match against Stoke City a week on Saturday with their fantastic start to the season showing no signs of going off track.
